Enlightened driving
Mazda’s best-selling car shines in more ways than one.
The Bi-Xenon headlamps with pivoting Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) are just one of the Mazda3’s many active safety features. And they are made for safer night-time driving.
The headlamps each use a single Xenon lamp to produce high and low beams. The bright, white beam this creates is similar to daylight. And that means better visibility on dark corners.
The low beams swivel automatically to illuminate the road ahead, moving left and right according to the angle of the steering wheel and the vehicle speed.
The 15-degree angle of the headlamps sends the light ahead of the car –giving you plenty of time to respond to hazards like blind bends and cyclists.
Watch the video to see how the AFS works.
